This bead was made by an lampwork artist named Bernadette Fuentes from San Antonio. I think I bought it in the mid 1990's. Love the way this bead looks so spiky, almost like a hedeghog. Yet the points are actually very rounded and smooth, so they are comfortable to wear. I handmade the tassel from very small beads, probably size 14 which is usually the smallest I'll use. The metals are copper colored base metal. The leather cord is custom made by Pam Crouch, right here in the Austin area. Very one-of-a-kind: it's an artistic piece made from an artisanal bead.
